Waltham Honeynut is theclassic heirloom honeynut squash and the most widely grown variety worldwide. A 1970 All-America Selections winner, it was developed through years of careful selection by Bob Young of Waltham, Massachusetts.
This variety is prized for its straight necks, smooth tan skin, and rich, dry yellow-orange flesh with a sweet, nutty flavor. Uniform fruits weigh 45 pounds and are easy to peel with a potato peeler, making them ideal for everyday kitchen use.
Waltham produces high-yielding vines and stores exceptionally well when properly cured, keeping deep into winter. Plants thrive in full sun and mature in approximately 105 days.
