A small statured willow with soft, fuzzy leaves! The hairs on the leaves frequently give them a blue/gray color, excellent for adding variety to wet plantings! Like oaks (genusQuercus) and wild cherries (genus Prunus), willows are a keystone species that provide habitat and host a wide variety of insects. Willows host many dozens of species of moth, and the viceroy butterfly!
