Fragrant clusters of pale lilac flowers bloom in latespring on upward branching stems. 3-inch, ornamental, elliptical, silvery fruit, moon-like in appearance (hence Lunaria) follow. Native to woodlands of Eastern Europe and Russia. These pictures were taken in situ in the woods of Slovenia in April of 2017.
