Callicarpa dichotoma ‘Issai ~ Issai Beautyberry

IssaiBeautyberry is asmall rounded deciduous shrubvalued for its showy fruits. The mild green foliage turns yellow in fall.Clusters of tiny light pinkflowers bloom in summerattracting bees and butterflies, then give way to bursts of brightmagenta fruits that persist to the beginningof winter. Best shapein full sun, but some shade promotes drought tolerance.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low maintenance plant. Prune back 6 in winter or early spring to better flowering.No serious pests of diseases. Some susceptibility to left spot, stem diseases, and black mold.
